Job description

As a Trade Marketing Manager, you are the indispensable link between Sales, Marketing, and our customers. You translate corporate brand and marketing strategies into effective trade marketing concepts that drive maximum visibility, rotation, and growth in the market. You work closely with brand owners in Asia on both strategic direction and budgets. In short, you ensure that the sale of our assortment becomes an even greater success for our customers.

You develop activations that align seamlessly with our exclusive brands, private labels, and the specific needs of each customer. You work closely with the Product Manager and Brand Marketer across the various channels we serve. In addition, you inspire our sales teams with strong plans and share your expertise through interactive masterclasses. In this role, you report directly to the European Marketing Communications Manager.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing trade marketing strategies

  • Creating annual plans, promotions, and activation calendars

  • Translating brand plans into a solid trade marketing approach

  • Analyzing market, shopper, and promotional data and translating insights into concrete actions

  • Defining and advising on the optimal marketing mix for and with customers, including promotions, presentation, recommended retail pricing, and assortment

  • Coordinating POS materials, in-store activations, and product launches

  • Managing budgets and evaluating campaign effectiveness

Job requirements

  • You are available 40 hours per week

  • Bachelor’s degree (HBO level) in Marketing, Commercial Economics, or a related field

  • At least 3–5 years of experience in Trade Marketing, Shopper Marketing, or Category Marketing

  • Experience within FMCG or Food, preferably in retail and/or foodservice

  • Ability to independently manage and optimize trade marketing processes end-to-end

  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen

  • Proactive, results-driven, and infectious enthusiasm

  • Good command in English

  • Proficiency in the Dutch language, or the willingness to learn it, is a plus

Heuschen & Schrouff is the leading importer and distributor of authentic Asian food and non-food products in Europe. From Landgraaf (Netherlands), we represent over 65 top Asian brands, such as YumYum and Flying Goose, and have strong own brand concepts like Golden Turtle for Chefs. Additionally, we offer Private Label concepts. We do this with a team of over 450 colleagues, 45 trucks on the road, and a diverse customer base ranging from ethnic stores and wholesalers to retail, foodservice, and industry.
