As an Account Manager, you are the driving force behind expanding and maintaining customer relationships in the dynamic German market. You will work with an impressive portfolio of nearly 5,000 Asian products, including top brands such as Flying Goose and YumYum.

With your commercial drive, you independently build long-term relationships and actively expand our customer base. You generate revenue through strong relationship management and by attracting new customers (New Business). Additionally, you are the point of contact for advice on existing and new products and know how to recognize and capitalize on market opportunities like no other. You are not only involved in sales, but also in upselling and cross-selling opportunities – your contribution to commercial success is immediately noticeable! The sales channel you work in is very versatile: from local Asian supermarkets to large wholesalers. This makes your work varied and dynamic. Every customer is different, every day brings new opportunities, and you are at the helm! In this role, you are responsible for a multi-million turnover.

  • Relationship Management: Proactively guide and expand existing customer relationships within the Ethnic sales channel

  • Seizing Market Opportunities: Expand the customer portfolio through targeted acquisition

  • Advice: Advise customers on our products and offer suitable solutions

  • Market Analysis: Active market observation and analysis of customer needs to identify new business opportunities

  • Internal Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments such as marketing and purchasing to efficiently resolve customer inquiries

  • Negotiation: Negotiate prices, contracts, and promotions

  • Presenting: Give product presentations to inform and excite customers

  • Planning & Administration: Independently organize your appointments and administrative tasks

  • Reporting: Report to the Sales Manager and contribute to the development of the sales strategy

Job requirements

To be successful in this role, affinity with Asian culture is important. You have a proactive and independent work attitude, can independently identify and seize opportunities, and are competitive and commercially oriented.

  • You are available 40 hours per week

  • You have experience in a similar position, preferably in the food/FMCG industry

  • You are willing to travel within Germany

  • You speak fluent German and have a good command of the English language. Knowledge of an Asian language is an advantage

  • This position is fully remote – this requires a high level of self-discipline and responsibility

Heuschen & Schrouff is the leading importer and distributor of authentic Asian food and non-food products in Europe. From Landgraaf (the Netherlands), we represent more than 65 leading Asian brands such as YumYum and Flying Goose, and we have strong private label concepts such as Golden Turtle for Chefs. In addition, we offer Private Label solutions. We do this with a team of more than 450 colleagues, 45 trucks on the road, and a diverse customer base ranging from ethnic specialty stores and wholesalers to retail, foodservice, and industry. We also operate our own e-commerce platform.

The Inside Sales Ethnic department is responsible for serving one of our largest customer groups: Asian supermarkets and wholesalers. They act as the central point of contact for these customers. As our customers are spread across Europe and often have an Asian background, communication within the department takes place in many different languages.
