As Business Unit Manager Foodservice & Industry, you are responsible for building, maintaining, and further expanding sales with (potential) key accounts in the foodservice and industry sectors within the Benelux, DACH countries, Eastern Europe, and Scandinavia.

Developing and monitoring sales strategy
You are responsible for developing and managing the sales policy of the foodservice and industry business units, tailored to key accounts and market developments. You create strategic plans, sales objectives, forecasts, and promotional policies. Additionally, you annually set a sales budget, including risk analyses and implementation proposals, and monitor the commercial objectives.

Relationship management and customer development
Together with your team, you build long-term, strategic relationships with (potential) key accounts. You align customer needs with commercial objectives, provide proactive advice on market developments, and conduct annual discussions at decision-making levels. You negotiate conditions, close (framework) contracts, and monitor the execution of agreements. The coming years will focus on expanding into new countries and acquiring new customers in existing markets.

Execution and coordination
You lead an international team of 8 Key Account Managers and provide guidance to the team as needed. You work with the team to achieve annual plans and act as the face of the department within Heuschen & Schrouff. Additionally, you are responsible for coordinating communication and alignment with the rest of the organization. You are also part of the Mainstream Retail & Foodservice management team.

Assortment development
By visiting European markets, you, along with our procurement and marketing colleagues, quickly identify trends. You are also jointly responsible for assortment policy and strengthening the brand identity and positioning of our own foodservice brand, Golden Turtle for Chefs™.

Job requirements

You have a strong strategic and conceptual thinking ability and can translate complex market dynamics into clear commercial action plans. You are a convincing and professional conversation partner for customers, internal departments, and your team. You are results-oriented, highly motivated, communicate easily, and have a clear vision, always balancing long-term growth and operational effectiveness. Additionally, you can provide direction to a team and steer towards results. Entrepreneurship, decisiveness, pragmatism, analytical skills, and communication skills make you a strong Business Unit Manager.

  • You are available full-time

  • You have completed a HBO or WO education, preferably in a commercial or business administration field

  • You have at least 7 years of experience in the foodservice industry, of which at least 5 years in a managerial position

  • You have demonstrable experience in the foodservice market in both the German market and within the Benelux. Experience in the industry market is a plus

  • You easily switch between different cultures

  • You have good command of the German and English language, both orally and in writing. Dutch is a plus

  • You are willing to travel 50% of the time for work

  • You are willing to spend the rest of the time at our headquarters in Landgraaf, to keep our internal departments informed of your progress

We do this with a team of over 450 colleagues, 45 trucks on the road, and a diverse customer base ranging from ethnic stores and wholesalers to retail, foodservice, and industry. Together, they work on building, maintaining, and further expanding key accounts.
