
Job description
In this versatile role, you play a key role in our tactical procurement policy. You are responsible for the procurement of a broad and dynamic product portfolio, from fresh daily products to strong private labels, while building valuable, long-term partnerships with suppliers. The assortment management team determines the product range; you ensure it is procured under the best possible conditions.
You elevate our supplier portfolio to the next level and build strong partnerships
You achieve optimal results in negotiations on pricing, logistics, and contract terms
You work closely with sales and marketing on successful product launches and customer projects
You ensure that the established product range is procured and available under the best possible conditions
Job requirements
You are available 32 to 40 hours per week
You have completed a bachelor’s degree (HBO level)
You are willing to travel for work
You have at least 2 years of experience in a procurement role within FMCG, foodservice, or retail
You are fluent in Dutch and English; an additional language is a plus
You possess strong negotiation and communication skills
You have a proactive and analytical mindset

Heuschen & Schrouff is the leading importer and distributor of authentic Asian food and non-food products in Europe. From our headquarters in Landgraaf, we represent more than 65 leading Asian brands, such as YumYum and Flying Goose, and we have strong in-house brand concepts such as Golden Turtle for Chefs. In addition, we offer private label concepts. We do this with a team of 400 colleagues, 45 trucks on the road, and a diverse customer base ranging from ethnic supermarkets and wholesalers to retail, foodservice, and industry. Within the Tactical Procurement team, each team member is responsible for a specific country and/or product category. Your colleagues work closely together to develop and implement procurement strategies that contribute to optimizing procurement processes and achieving targets for their assigned markets and products.
